Mission & Vision
The Bethel Arts Center is a substance-free welcoming space located in downtown Bethel, Vermont. We are a place for people of all ages to gather, learn, and grow.

The Bethel Arts Center believes that positive youth development, intergenerational learning, and in-person connection are important for prevention and overall health of our communities.

We practice Restorative Justice as a way to build relationships, be accountable, and repair harm or conflict
We believe in Resource Sharing
We want our work to be Equitable, understanding that people have different entry points and needs around learning
We want to be Transparent about our policies and procedures, decision making, and expectations in the space
We acknowledge that we are living under systems of oppression and aspire to be Anti-Oppressive
We believe that Creativity, Artistic Expression, and Community Building plays a vital role in our Collective Liberation
We believe that all people can Grow and Transform
We approach something we don’t understand from a place of Curiosity and Openness
We treat one another with Respect and Kindness regardless of identity
We expect people to keep our space Substance Free and refrain from drug and alcohol use in the space.
